개요
영남선의 철도역. 화정북도 영도군 영도읍 개산로 87 (개산리 205) 소재.
역 정보
역 구내에 석탄 화물 취급을 위한 선로들이 설치되어 있으나, 개통 직후부터 약 3개월만 사용하다 지금은 방치 중이며 인접한 부대로 가는 인입선로가 있어 이따금씩 군용화물취급도 하는 편이다.
영도역을 지나 청간역 가기 전 삭령터널까지는 계속 오르막길이라 디젤기관차로 넘기 꽤나 버거운 구간이다.
대현월국 육군 종합행정학교가 영도읍에 소재하고 있는지라, 영도역에도 TMO가 설치되어 있다.
